Welcome!
My name is Jodie. I live with my husband Tim, our two children Caiden and Olivia, and our boxer Guenhwyvar, in an "almost" lovely country stone house in Niagara on the Lake. When we purchased the two acre property two years ago, we weren't detered by the amount of work (both inside and outside) that would be required, in fact we were energized by it! Tim and I believe "you can do anything you put your mind to" so we try to instill and lead by example that work ethic in our children. Something must be sinking in because our three year old's mantra lately has been "never give up!, never give up"! So on that first day, we hacked our way through the two foot overgrown grass to find our front door and we've never looked back!
For as long as I can remember I have loved anything to do with designing, decorating, remodeling, re-purposing and organizing! Even as a child I would change my bedroom around a couple of times a year including paint and wallpaper! I would spend my babysitting money on crafting and decorating projects, anything that was hands on and resulted in something pretty or functional. I still find myself cutting out ideas from decoating magazines, and now with the internet highway saving hundreds of inspirational images.

Recently, I realized that I wanted an outlet for all the ideas I had, all the inspirations I find, and all the projects I've oops we've accomplished to date! The idea of blogging seemed like the perfect answer. Now I can share the details of our adventure of remodeling and decorating our new home, the trials and tribulations that go along with being DIYers, my favorite design inspirations, and any funny family anecdotes along the way!
Our "project" has come a long way but is nowhere near where we envision it to be someday. So we'll keep dreaming and working hard, but in the meantime, we invite you to join us as we embark on creating our very own Urban Stone Oasis.
Thanks for stopping by, we hope you visit again soon;
